The term “petiscos” derives from the verb “petiscar,” which means to taste and consume these small-sized delicacies, which are typically best shared with friends!
This walking, eating, and drinking trip will teach you about food and wine and the historical events that formed this rich culture. Each trip will take you to a different piece of the jigsaw, Portugal.

The first visit is to an original bodega, well-known among local wine aficionados for producing excellent Porto wines. We will begin our journey here with a magnificent wine tasting and an introduction to the secrets of Porto wines. You will learn the fundamentals of this fortified wine.
The second stop, a Portuguese tavern, "tasco", retained all of its charms. You will feel as if you have gone back in time. Here, we'll sample some delicious local nibbles, including hot and cold appetizers.
On our third visit, we'll continue to sample delicious petiscos and wine from Porto. You will learn about the famed Vinho verde and the numerous wine areas in Portugal.
The fourth destination will be a traditional petiscos restaurant serving delectable Portuguese delicacies in one of the city's most recognized gourmet districts.
